The last day was actually surprisingly good with the classic slideshow of embarrassing photos shown by our head of year and the obligatory shirt signing. So I thought I'd share a few of my photos from the day with you!
As our school doesn't have a sixth form it means everyone kind of splits up, going to various colleges and sixth forms in the area around us, meaning that it's pretty rare that more than a handful of people end up going to the same place, even rarer still that you end up in any of the same classes. So on the most part it's nearing the time to say goodbye to the majority of the people I've grown up with over the past 5 years and as part of school tradition people each make a leavers book, full of pictures, memories and notes from the people we're parting with. So I thought I'd sit here and revel in nostalgia, sharing with you some pictures of my very best memories from school.
Taken at my house for my 12th Birthday with Sophie, who is still now one of my very best friends and the person who gave me the confidence to start dancing again. Strange to think how much we've both changed yet we're still so close.
Taken in the Summer of Year 9 at Char's garden party, these today are still my girls, although we all look so different now! This was one of the best memories I have of us all together, from the overly frisky dog that pestered everyone all night to roasting marshmallows round the fire, this was such a lovely evening.
From We Will Rock You Production last year, spent months rehearsing with this bunch and became so close with them (especially sharing a tiny dressing room too). Really strange that none of them will be at my college in September especially with Ci moving away after winning a scholarship for a pretty prestigious music school. Still I couldn't be prouder of this lot, even though we're all going our seperate ways.
This was taken in Ypres, Belgium in Year 9 after being snowed in at our hostel. This was one of the first times I had properly stayed away from home and these two were my always by my side. I remember being sat on a bunk bed with these two and a pack of crunchies and having such a laugh, knocking the snow off the window ledges onto the people below.
From the last week of Year 10, when we had all just found out that we'd been accepted as prefects and were so excited to be grown up Year 11's with prefect ties! The weather this day was so beautiful, one of the rare real summer days we get in England. But staying classy as ever this was taken by the recycling bins, good one girls.
Taken at Frankie's and Benny's at Gatwick before flying to Germany last year (the trip I'll probably talk about forever). We were all so excited to be flying with school and although we were friends before the trip it brought us all so much closer together, these three are still some of my closest friends now, even though we aren't in the same friendship group.

So there's a little snapshot into my last 5 years at my Secondary School, it's weird reminiscing and realising that out of all the different people in these photos only two of them are going to my college. It definitely makes me question my decision to go to a college 20 miles away but at the same time I'm so excited to begin a new chapter in my life dealing only with the subjects I love. How was your experience starting college or sixth form? Or are you looking forward to it if you aren't there already?

I was luck enough to receive this last summer as part of a beauty box swap and I am in love with it! It's a pretty blue tone-green with an iridescent shimmer, funnily enough it's like the exact colour of peacock feathers! I applied 3 coats of this and made sure it was completely dry before doing anything as it is one of those polishes that stays tacky for ages which means it's prone to smudging. Other than that it lasts pretty long with minimal chipping and at only £1.99 I'll be sure to purchase others in the range too!
I finally picked up some bits and pieces I've been lusting after for ages, so here they are.

Soap and Glory Archery- Brow Tint and Pencil - I've only used this a few times but I love it already, especially the tent end which is a sort of felt tip pen. The pencil end too is nice, it's much softer than other eyebrow pencils I've previously used meaning it isn't too harsh and looks really natural.

Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation- Previously I've sworn by the Healthy Mix Serum, repurchasing it countless times but as I was coming to the end of that I thought it apt to try the normal foundation. I actually think I prefer this to the serum version, it offers slightly higher coverage and just seems to feel nicer on my skin.

Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer- This is just a repurchase for about the billionth time! Okay slight exaggeration but I've been buying and using this concealer for quite a while now. More recently I've been using the Soap and Glory Kickass Concealer but have switched back to this one as it just can't be beaten for quality to price!

Topshop Lipstick in 'Wicked'- I've been wanting to try a Topshop Lipstick for ages after hearing such rave reviews I finally took the plunge and bought this! It's such a gorgeous dark red colour with sort of purple undertones (swatch to come) and is a really nice berry colour for autumn.

Topshop Cream Blush in 'Head over Heels'- I've only used a few cream blushes before and never really got on with them until this one. It's a pretty coral colour (not pictured sorry) and way less fluorescent then it appears on the Topshop website, more of a spring/summery colour but a complete bargain as I got it in a set with the lipstick for £6!

Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder- Translucent- Pretty much every blogger and their dog has this face powder as it's pretty much a make-up staple, after pinching my Mum's one in Silky Beige colour, I finally got myself one in Transparent.

It was most definitely one of the best concerts I've been to, and as quite an intimate venue full of genuine fans the atmosphere was amazing. First were the two support acts, Y.O.U who we only managed to see very little of due to a very long toilet queue and the obligatory purchase of a tour T-shirt and then Circa Waves who really got the crowd going. Later The 1975 came on accompanied by the shrill cheering of thousands in adoration of such an incredibly talented band.

The simplicity of the staging meant the full focus was on the music which was genuinely amazing. Matty's voice live is undeniable, certain songs such as fallingforyou and Sex really showcased that and with his almost egotistical stage presence he definitely had everyone captivated. Personally I'd say Settle Down and Chocolate were the real stand out moments in terms of crowd participation, everyone singing and jumping was just incredible. As typical of a band they went off and came back on in an encore type of way, which provoked a surge forward meaning we ended up really close to the stage for the last few songs. Hence the much closer picture of Matt healy below (which I'm pretty proud of to be honest!).

Though I'd say the most poignant part of the night was the one that nobody really captured and that was when they performed 'Me'. Matt asked that everyone put down their phones and just take in the atmosphere as he said that most people at the concert would of only really seen The 1975 through a screen before. He then told everyone in a sort of comical fashion to" Shut the F**k Up" as this one was about him. It was such an amazing moment and in the instrumental part he got everyone to put their lights, phones, lighters in the air to light the place up. Looking behind you to take in a sea of people. swaying lazily, so enchanted by the music was truly breathtaking. Overall it was an extraordinary concert and such a good night, honestly you have not heard The 1975 properly until you have seen them live. I would certainly go see them again when they return to the UK as it was so so worth it.

So a month on, here I am writing this post, reminiscing, reflecting on this concert while lazily listening to The 1975 on repeat from the comfort of my home in my favourite pyjamas. Have you been to any concerts? Did you enjoy them?

I've been revising constantly the last couple days ready for my German speaking exam tomorrow, eek! Here's my playlist of songs for revision at the moment-complete with a picture I took of the skyline when I was in Berlin.

Sweater Weather- The Neighbourhood// Autumn classic, really into The Neighbourhood recently and even though it's a more well known one of their's, it's still a classic.

fallingforyou- The 1975 // I absolutely fell in love with this song after hearing it live when I watched the 1975 recently. Though not as good as it was live, it's still a decent listen.

When The Sun Goes Down- Arctic Monkeys // An oldie but still a class tune, could listen to this song on repeat and still not get bored of it.

Full Circle- Half Moon Run// Such a good song, so easy to listen to, I just love the sound of the whole song and I'm really liking Half Moon Run at the moment.

Rollercoaster- Bleachers// Heard this song for the first time in the summer and recently heard it on MIC, such a good chill out song.

I Miss You - Blink 182// You can't beat a bit of Blink 182 and this will forever be one of my favourites by them, such a quality song.

Luna- Bombay Bicycle Club// Have been into Bombay Bicycle Club for years and there's denying this is such a lush chilled out song by them.

Teenage Icon- The Vaccines// Nothing like singing along to this while doing a bit of revision, yet again another amazing song by The Vaccines.

So Long- Circa Waves// These were one of the support acts for The 1975 and I was really impressed by them, definitely would see them again and this song was amazing live.

The Sea- Swim Deep// Swim Deep are always a good choice, especially when doing revision, love this song even though it's not overly well known.

There's my revision playlist! With half term this week I'm going to be posting a lot more, so watch out for that, thankyou for your continued support.
a little.

So the last month, well almost two months really have been pretty hectic, starting in the summer with my cousin going into hospital, he fell very ill and him being so poorly definitely took it's toll on my family. I've never seen such a strong group of people so devastated nor have I ever been so frightened myself. Luckily last week or so he finally came home after almost two months seriously ill and in intensive care, though he's still got still got a long way to go, he is on the way to recovery. Even though we aren't as close as we were it still affected me a lot.

Then there was back to school and I don't think anything could of prepared me for the transition into year 11. Suddenly all teachers were talking about controlled assessment deadlines, predicted grades, exams and revision sessions. How I should be organising my time, how I should be getting all A's, how I should be doing this, how I should be doing that. And already it's all too much, I've been suffering from headaches for months prior to Year 11 and then within the first week of school I started having panic attacks, seemingly out of the blue. They seemed to come on even when everything was under control and though I'd had them a few times last year these were certainly much worse, I've also had trouble sleeping for months which obviously isn't helpful either.

So my Mum took me to the doctors, who then diagnosed my headaches as migraines, for which she gave me medication and put my panic attacks down to a type of anxiety disorder. She also took my blood pressure, which was a little too high, again she said it could of been because of my anxiety about going to the doctors, but as a precaution I need to have my blood pressure taken every week for the next month or so. She also explained that the medication for my headaches are used for anxiety disorder and as antidepressants. Naturally the word antidepressant made me freak out, the thought of being on medication scared me even more so.

Now I'm definitely a worrier and not an overly confident person but I never thought that I would have anxiety or be attached to the negative stigma that surrounds it. When people talk about anxiety they never tend to talk positively or be very upbeat about it, it's difficult for a lot of people to understand and also very difficult to deal with. So I looked out into the YouTube and blogging community to try and find some things that may help people or at least help people to understand.
So this week is my first week of medication, and obviously I'm apprehensive, but I just thought I'd share where I'm at with you all and apologise for my lack of posts recently. Again I'm always here for any of you that need a chat, stay strong, keep smiling.
It was such a lovely time and I fell in love with Brighton itself so thought I'd share a few photos with you, apologies on lack of quality as my camera is still broken, so am still relying on the trusty Iphone. Also apologies for the lack of people in pictures but seeing as it was camping we all looked a bit dishevelled to say the least.

From wandering through the eclectic shops of North Laine, stumbling into the photo booth in Snooper's Paradise to strolling down the pier and revelling in the nostalgia of arcade games and fair ground stalls, Brighton was perfect in every way. Even after two nights of camping nothing could dampen my mood when we hit the beach, despite struggling to navigate my way down the pebbles for a paddle in the sea and being so close to falling in completely, it was worth it for such an amazing view, especially from the top of the Brighton wheel too. Brighton Marina was lovely as well, though out of the heart of Brighton itself, it was such a pretty place especially in the light of the early evening.

Culture is also something that Brighton has in abundance, with the Lanes themselves catering for everyone. Naturally me and Beth had to partake in experiencing the food and drink too, enjoying my first bubble tea at Pearls (IT WAS SO SO NICE!!) and then having a cute little cupcake in the cafe Cloud Nine, honestly visit one of their stores if you are ever in Brighton, it's such a welcoming place and has the most adorable cupcakes ever. On top of that we had classic quintessentially British Fish and Chips on the seafront while tactfully avoiding seagulls. In general it was such a fun weekend and it was so nice to be away from home for a few days, especially in such an inspiring place, I'll definitely be visiting again! Have you been to Brighton? What did you think of it?
1) When I was little I had trigger thumbs, it's where your fingers or thumbs get stuck because of the tendons, I had them operated on to un-stick them, I had it in both thumbs which is pretty rare and as I had it so young I was in the British Medical Journal. Essentially for having bent old-people thumbs.

2) I love Giraffes. They are hands down my favourite animals, they're so tall and cute and chill.

3) I've recently become a bit of a Netflix addict, PLL and OITNB are my current faves, oops.

4) Although I've been to both Thailand and Australia before, they are two of the places I most want to travel to, as well as Morocco and America. I just have a want in general to travel the world and see everything. I can't wait to get away from my town and just experience the world.

5) I recently quit playing football even though it's my favourite thing ever and I've been playing for almost 7 years, I'm taking up dance again instead.

6) I love dancing, it makes me soso happy and I recently joined some classes again after finally plucking up the courage, I was so scared of being the worst person.

7) I'm short, like only just over 5ft, for some reason people find the need to tell me how short I am on a daily basis, I am quite aware haha.

8) I drink a lot of tea. It's my favourite thing, I have my own tea shelf in the kitchen with over 10 different varieties of fruit, herbal and green tea, yummy.

9) I naturally have frizzy slightly wavy hair but I had a perm over a year ago so that it has actual waves in it but since then my hair has grown curly, freaky.

10) There isn't a day where I don't listen to music, it's my escape from everything.

These are my favourite songs so far this summer:

Undercover Martyn - Two Door Cinema Club (Link Here) An oldie but still a good'un, one of those songs you never get sick of, a firm favourite on my summer playlist and well it's Two Door Cinema Club so you can't go wrong really!

Sheets- Shannon Saunders (Link Here) I've been watching Shannon's covers and stuff on YouTube for years and then last week she put up this from her album. It's kind of electro-y but I love it, definitely a summer evening festival song. You should definitely give it a listen, she's amazing!

Deckchairs on the Moon- Bipolar Sunshine (Link Here) This came up as a suggestion on my Spotify and I've been listening to it ever since, it's pretty chilled out and summery. Again it's kind of random and not too well know but I love it.

M.O.N.E.Y- The 1975 (Link Here) One of my faveeeee songs for ages! I'm actually going to see The 1975 in London in October so am getting ready for it by playing their songs on repeat (oops). Such a chilled out kind of song and Matt Healy is just mmmm.

Dani California- Red Hot Chilli Peppers (Link Here) This is my kind of nostalgic song from summer's in the past. With my Dad being a Red Hot Chilli Peppers fan I was brought up on the Stadium Arcadium album, though I remember this song in particular being played on many long, hot summer car journeys.

Shine On- The Kooks (Link here) I love love love The Kooks, especially their older stuff and this is my summer favourite it's just cheery in like a relaxed, chilled out kind of way, it's just my ideal summer song really.

Smells Like Teen Spirit- Nirvana (Link Here) You can't beat a good old Nirvana song for the summer, say no more.

Knee Socks- Arctic Monkeys (Link Here) I love the riff in this song and it's one that I could play over and over again, Alex Turner once again, does not disappoint. This has been my sunbathing song (what little sunbathing I've managed to do with our crappy english weather) but will probably still be my fave in the winter.

Disconnected- 5 Seconds of Summer (Link Here) The start of this sounds scarily like the 1975... I've been listening to these since the YouTube days and it's crazy to see how well they are doing now, plus this week I got tickets for their UK tour. This song is just nice * I like the summer rain* it's just cute.

There's a few of the songs on my Spotify summer playlist that I've been listening to recently, I hope you are all having a lovely summer!

The packaging is a nice metallic bronze kind of colour and is fairly standard as far as mascara tubes go. I think this actually looks a lot more classy than some of the luminous/neoen colour tubes you get and is just generally nicer. Also I love that it doesn't have a thousand wild claims on the packaging, as most mascara's do, and is more simple.

The first thing I really love about this mascara is that it doesn't leave you with that horribly crunchy feeling where your eyelashes are left wiry (ew!). Nope, instead they are a little stiffer but still feel like eyelashes and are considerably softer than your bog standard mascara. I guess this is because of the argan oil? I don't know if that's what it is, but it genuinely makes such a difference. I found it gave the perfect balance of length, volume and separation, the three things I always lust after in a mascara. It made my lashes look longer and fuller but also seperated nicely (big thumbs up), it also gave a little bit of curve too which is always a bonus!

The wand has plastic kind of bristles which are flexible. If I'm honest I'm not always a massive fan of this type of brush but I've been so impressed by the results from this one. It's also really easy to use on bottom lashes too and coated them without making them look all spidery and gross. The only teeny downside was that when I applied another coat over the past few which had dried, it did shed off a tiny bit, but not alot, it even stayed put with no panda effect after my abs class which is seriously saying something! Anyway I got mine for £4.99 on special offer on the Rimmel stand in my local chemist which is such a steal as I'd probably pay full price for it anyway! But Superdrug have it on offer for £5.99 right now I think, and I'd most definitely purchase it for that price!
On Thursday my friends Beth, Charley, Katie and myself got the train to Bristol for a day out of shopping and general mooching about. It was such a lovely day although we got lost a few times on the route between Temple Meads and Cabot, I blame our collective lack of common sense! I bought a few things, including a lovely coat, playsuit and hat as well as some other bits and bobs (all to appear here soon!). But besides having a good look around the shops it was so so nice to spend time with some of my bestfriends in a somewhat unfamiliar city, wondering about and blending into the everyday hustle and bustle, rather the opposite from our rather small town tucked away in the coutryside.

Even with the constant barrage of traffic, low hum of roadworks and near-irritating continual 'beeping' of pedestrian crossings it was lovely just to fade into the background and take in all the different parts to the city. We took a meander down the path by the river before heading off into central Bristol to do some shopping. The diversity among people was astonishing really, it was refreshing to see such a mix of style and how everyone seemed to burst with individuality with the utmost of confidence, one of those things that seems to be abundant in cities but lost within towns and villages. I genuinely lost count of the amount of inspiring outfits and thought-provoking style combinations that I saw, leaving me motivated to experiment more with my own style.

Once more I love the anonymity you have while in a city, how you can become a simple face in the crowd, insignificant, yet part of the reason the city is what it is. And so I guess this post is just about the beauty of being able to go somewhere new, just for the day and to be another nameless person, another body going about their daily business with no questions asked. Without having to worry about being judged or making a good impression but just being able to revel in being inconspicuous, effectively just getting to be nobody for a day.

You will need:

Strawberries ( I used about 6)

A small handful of blueberries

A small handful of raspberries

2-3 slices of watermelon

1/2 a cup of Greek Yoghurt (I used fat free)

Almond Milk (or another type if you so wish)

Deseed and cube your watermelon, then hull and chop your strawberries. Add these to a bowl (if using a hand blender) or to your blender along with the other fruit (raspberries and blueberries).

Next add in your 1/2 a cup of the yoghurt of choice, I bought these cute measuring scoops as so many recipes are in cups rather than grams! The yoghurt I used was Morrisons own Fat-free Greek style. One thing to be wary of when buying fat-free yoghurt, is make sure that they don't contain tonnes of sugar if you are trying to be super healthy, if not then go wild with whatever yoghurt you want ;)

Pour in a splash of Almond Milk, use however much of this you like really, depending on how much you want to thin out your smoothie. I literally only added a dash and this recipe made the perfect amount to fill a 0.5 ltr Kilner Jar. I used Alpro Almond milk as I prefer it to normal milk but you could use any milk really.

Blend it up! If you're using a hand blender make sure you get all the lumps, if you're using a normal blender you probably don't need to worry!

Pour into your fave cup or a jar, add a cute straw and a strawberry and there you go, a really summery smoothie. This is my favourite smoothie at the moment, it's really sweet and tangy and refreshing, yum!

Without further ado here they are...

Soap and Glory Peaches and Clean 3in1 Purifying Cleanser I'm not sure what the 3in1 properties of this are supposed to be, but nevertheless I love it! It removes make-up easily and leaves skin soft and without that tight feeling that many other cleansers give. It has a really pleasant peachy smell and is light on the skin and easy to use, perfect!

Benefit Hoola Bronzing Powder I've got this in the mini version and will definitely be repurchasing it when this runs out! Such a lovely matte bronzer which isn't orangey like many others are and is great for contouring. So good for sweeping over your cheeks to get a summer glow (always needed with the temperamental English weather!). I have been using this so much recently and have fallen in love with it all over again!

Max Factor False Lash Effect Water Proof Mascara Although I don't really wear make-up in the summer this is the one product I consistently reach for. It has a nice wand that coats lashes evenly, with a lengthened look and stays all day with no 'panda eye' effect. It genuinely is waterproof even staying put after enduring 'Tidal Wave' at Thorpe Park.

Barry M Nail /Hi Shine Gelly Paints in shades Berry Ice Cream and Sugar Apple. I bought these two a few weeks ago and have been wearing them non-stop, both in really pretty summery colours and come out near enough exactly the same as the bottle. They go one really well and non streaky, leaving a nice smooth finish. Only negative being you need to add quite a few coats and/or a top coat to prevent chipping but still lovely!

Striped Paper Straws These are my favourite thing at the moment! I've been making so many homemade smoothies and drinks (DIY summer drinks posts to follow!) and none would be complete without these cute and colourful retro style paper straws. I bought the different colour mulitpacks and you can buy them from so many places. Add a drink in a Kilner Jar and hey presto, you're tumblr ready ;)
So as summer is here and school is no longer at the forefront of my day-to-day it seems it's appropriate to ease into the routine of spending hour upon hour scrolling through the depths of tumblr as my common practice of procrastination shows no sign of relent. Accompanied by the carefully chosen songs of my spotify playlist it seems that without a distraction, my summer is in dire risk of being spent behind a computer screen filled with images and quotes that represent a miscellany of emotions and a melange of feelings. So it seems I am setting myself a summer challenge of sorts, a list of things to complete, much like a bucket list but less definite, of tasks and activities to do to ensure that the next six weeks aren't ruled by my preoccupation with the internet, besides documenting every step within this blog. Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated and feel free to comment any of them. And with that I'll leave you with my Tumblr link, just in case you also have a fixation with Tumblr.

Am I the only person who reads a book twice? Like you can't quite comprehend it the first time so you feel obliged to flick through those pages again in order to understand it in depth and to appreciate it with the wonder and admiration that it deserves. Surely I can't be.

Recently I've become ever more engrossed in the world of fiction. I don't know it just seems everything fictional is more striking, more poignant than the real world. It seems that within a book, simply a story, you can be affected in a way that reality never could affect you. I mean isn't it peculiar how you can empathise so strongly with Hazel in The Fault In Our Stars? You can experience that heartbreak with her simply through words. but when you think about it, there will be someone out there, struggling in real life with the same issues, same illness, same pain, but we'll never hear their story because it is not one of beautiful words, it is not a work of art or worthy of an award. It is too real, too honest, to exist anywhere other than in that person's life, And I think that's where books are strange, because they evoke emotions and feelings that our own lives never could. We learn to know a character better than ourselves, or our friends solely through words, a jumbled collection of letters created to inflict on the mind. And it's strange to think that we feel this without physically living those moments with that person yet it's much easier to comprehend because there isn't a right or wrong way to interpret it and we don't have to worry about the consequences if we don't interpret it the same way as anybody else.

For example, take Charlie in The Perks Of Being A Wallflower. You could interpret him as confused and misunderstood, encompassed by the troubles of being a teenage misfit or alternatively you could understand Charlie as being seriously mentally ill, or in a multitude of different ways. You see it's all down to how you perceive it. Yet there could be a 'Charlie' walking down your corridors at school, that you could be totally oblivious to, yet you just never know. And that's because we seem to be blinded by the normalcy of illness whether physical or mental or other. We don't realise that within almost every person there is enough to write a novel, we just discount the possibility of it because our emotions aren't heightened the same way as in a book, life isn't amplified the way a fictional story is.

So back to what i said about reading a book twice. Sometimes the first time you read a book you don't understand it, you feel disjointed from the characters, the same way you can do with people in real life situations. But then you reread it, twice, three times, maybe more. You take time to digest every word and find yourself pondering the consequences and possibilities beyond the final chapter, sometimes you even fall in love a little, with the words, emotions or even characters (*cough* Augustus Waters *cough*) and you become completely immersed in every aspect of that person's story. Imagine how much nicer the world would be if we took the time to understand, to focus on the novels and stories of those people around us, imagine if we looked at the people around us with the same care we take when turning the pages of our favourite book. And I guess what I'm saying is that sometimes you have to look back at a situation before you can judge it or begin to comprehend it. The same as in a book, you have to reread the story and digest the specks of information again, so you can understand, judge or maybe even fall a little bit in love with a real life story or memory. Because as lovely as it is to escape reality and bury your head in fantasies and fables, sometimes you have to learn to deal with the rest of the world, the one that exists long after you put the book down.
So although the title says 'big spender' I am infact rather the opposite and for want of a better phrase, can be a little bit of a cheap-skate! And so here are a few items I recently picked up in the sales in Outfit. I really am growing to love Outfit with their mix match of some of my favourite shops, Topshop and Miss Selfridge in particular an although I love these shops they can tend to be on the pricier side, so when I heard there was a sale, well that was it! I was right there rummaging through the rails!

So while there I bought a shirt from Dorothy Perkins Petite (£10 down from £24), earrings from Dorothy Perkins (£3 from £7.50) and a pair of shoes from Topshop (£15 from £32). I apologise for the dodgy picture quality, my camera is still being fixed so am having to muddle through with my phone at the moment! The shirt is folded over in the picture and is one of those things that just doesn't picture very well yet looks nice on. Its a very light material so is good for those gorgeous summer evenings ( who am i kidding? I live in England...) and is actually a really pretty print, plus it's petite which is ideal as I'm not exactly the tallest of people and tend to find that stuff ends up way too long, so this is perfect!

These shoes are my most favourite thing I bought, I've been lusting for some pretty shoes for summer as I've realised living in trainers or boots through summer is not acceptable. I wore these Monday paired with some frilly socks and rolled up jeans and got so many compliments! I like that they are a nice nude kind of colour and are a little bit different to what I'd usually wear, they also go really well with my flowery shorts that I got recently too, yay for summer. I also really love the earrings I bought, having not worn earrings for absolutely ageeeeees I thought it was about time to buy some more and at £3 who could turn these beauties down?
Sorry for the lack of posts recently but my life as been overtaken by We Will Rock You rehearsals pretty much everyday, including weekends for the past few weeks! But as we have our final matinee and evening performance today (as well as the after show party woo!) I can assure you that before long I'll be back blogging more than ever! It's mad to think that the show we've been rehearsing, for almost a year is nearly over, it's actually quite sad, but expect a most and shed-loads of backstage photos to come! Thanks for reading as ever!
Last weekend I did my final expedition for my Bronze Duke of Edinburgh and it was such a good weekend! At first I wasn't really looking forward to going, with storms forecast and the prospect of having to hike for hours, it's safe to say I wasn't exactly 'buzzing' to go. We set off to our destination, piling into teacher-driven cars after a school mini-bus malfunction, arriving at our start point just as the heavens opened. So with anoraks on, armed with giant rucksacks containing everything from tents to pots and pans, and with our map and compass we started our first walk of the weekend.

Unfortunately I fell over while jumping a log and twisted my ankle (yes clumsy as ever I know). Which resulted in a swollen up ankle and my ability to walk, was well, hindered considerably, luckily I had an amazing group (pictured above in the obligatory group selfie) who helped me so much, one of the boys even carried my pack on his front as well as his own for an hour and literally wouldn't let me have it back until I felt a bit better. We got to our little campsite and pitched up our tents next to each other, then spent the evening cooking meals, playing on the tree swings on site, oh and of course forgetting the code that granted entry to the toilets! On the second day after a pretty restless night's sleep (courtesy of some noisy drunkards on our campsite), we got up and had some breakfast and made some tea and hotchocolate. Then going against the advice of our group leader (rebellious I know) I carried on to do our second route of the weekend with my ankle strapped up.

On our second day the weather was so so much brighter and we managed to escape the rain, we reached our first checkpoint ahead of schedule and stopped to have a quick natter with one of the assessors about bearings, compass points and contours. Turns out contours aren't the make-up kind but are wiggly lines on maps that show you the height incline, who knew ey? I guess it's safe to say I didn't do much of the navigation purely because I have no sense of direction whatsoever. But despite the changeable weather and the ankle mishap I still had a really good time, it was such an amazing experience and being the first team back on the second day after doing around 30km over the weekend was such an achievement. Although I was at first apprehensive about being in a team with people I wasn't particularly close with, I seriously would of not wanted to be in a team with anyone else, although the boys don't look too thrilled in the photo above!

Anyway, I have more posts drafted for this week so keep an eye out!
So my final GCSE's for this year are done, phew! And now my priority is no longer on revising endless structures of atoms and molecular bonds but on blogging! So for the past few weeks I've been in contact with a lovely blogger called Chloe and we've arranged a Teen Blogger Meet up in the summer. Now this is so exciting for me, my blog has been going for less than a year and I've already spoken to so many lovely people through it and now am helping to arrange this, which should be a fantastic day!

So as you can see all the basic details are here on this fabulous poster that Chloe herself created! This is such an amazing oppurtunity for all teen bloggers regardless of your blog type/style. If you are interested please get in touch with either myself or Chloe (contact details as on the poster) so we have an idea of numbers!

Would love to see some of you there!
Firstly I apologise for not posting very often, recently I've been hit by a barrage of mocks and GCSE's which of course have had to take priority (thumbs down to exams). So at the moment I'm in the awful kind of transition stage at school from a Year 10 to Year 11; being a trial prefect, furiously making coursework deadlines, as well as being surrounded by GCSE and mock exam galore! It's fair to say I've had a little bit of a struggle this week in remaining calm and positive, and it also seems that others around me are too; I've seen at least 5 other people cry and leave a lesson this week, that's just in my own classes! It seems that nobody can really keep up with these unattainable standards of perfection that seem to be expected from us and it's just hit us now, with the pressure being piled on the last few weeks. Now I fully expect year 11 to be the same or even worse, but still I feel that everybody, regardless of their predicament in terms of exams, needs a little cheering up at the moment!

Now I know it's a lot easier said than done but finding something that actually makes you filled with genuine happiness, if only for a while, can be one of the best sources of positivity. For me it was starting dance again this week for the first time in years, after a day with a French reading and listening mock, GCSE Chemistry revision and an hour of Maths revision after school I was in dire need of cheering up! I can't explain how nice it was to be in a room full of like minded people, doing something that I love- I was literally buzzing for hours afterwards especially after being so nervous about joining a class. Of course by the next day I was back to the tiresome slog that is school, but just for that hour dance lesson I was the most positive person going. So that's probably what I would say is so important in remaining positive, even if not all the time, spending time with people that you love or doing something that makes you genuinely happy. The second thing that has really helped me is Alfie Deye's video on being a teenager, literally I've shared this around all my friends after stumbling upon it last month.

Honestly, watch this video and it will make you feel a whole lot better, it does for me every time I watch it, especially after having a week where I heard a lot of things that I really didn't want to. It makes you realise how insignificant so many little things are in comparison with the grand scheme of things. It sums up a lot of the issues and problems we go through, just by being a teenager and has been really beneficial for me and my friends! Okay so that is the end of this post, I hoped you enjoyed reading it, I'd just like to say if any of you ever want to talk to me about anything or are feeling down then feel free to contact me on the links down below,I'm here for you all too! Thanks for reading my lovelies!

So basically I thought I'd share a few pictures from my time in Germany on the exchange, which was about 3 months ago now. It was definitely one of the best and worst experiences I had, I had an amazing time but it wasn't always brilliant and I've got to admit spending 10 days in a foreign country with a family you don't know is pretty daunting! So here are a few snapshots of the best bits!
Basically ages ago I wrote a post on my time in Germany but felt it wasn't very honest and I couldn't really portray what I wanted to say correctly through a post so decided not to put it up. These are just a few of the 600 pictures I took throughout the exchange, crazy I know! I also apologise for the bad quality, these were literally just taken on my Iphone during our trip. Again sorry that there isn't a full on post about my time in Germany but these pictures definitely capture some of the best moments!
This is just a quick review on Soap and Glory's Kick Ass Concealer, I've heard quite a bit of hype about this, so in true blogger style, I naturally had to buy it and try it out. I've seen quite a few yotubers use it such as velvetgh0st and thought I'd give it a go. It was £10 but the Soap and Glory section in Boots had a 'buy one get one half price' deal so both me and my mum got one. I think this is quite reasonable but it's probably more the type of thing I'd buy when it was on offer, if I'm completely honest.
Mine is in the shade 'Light' and as you can see there are two different colours, one more pinky toned, the other more yellow toned. I tend to use the first for under eyes and the second on any blemishes. Personally I quite like the consistency, it's quite thick and creamy which I like but does crease a little bit,it's quite a heavy coverage, so I f you don't like heavy product it's probably not for you. I found it covered under eye circles particularly well which is a big bonus for me as I seem to retain the look of being punched in the eye even with the toughest of concealers! It also comes with a translucent powder to seal it and a little powder puff thingy. I'm not a fan of the powder puff as it's too big for areas like under your eyes so I tend to use a little concealer brush instead.
I actually quite like the packaging, this little box and then the circle container itself, which has two layers. Being a bit of a neat freak, I've kept it in the box too, which is nice and neat, Soap and Glory packaging has never really let me down though so I expected it to be quite good. The little mirror is really handy for touch-ups on the go too and is of a really good size for a small container. Overall I quite like this after around 3 weeks of using it, but who knows I might change my mind in a few more weeks! I'm not quite sure if it's worth the £10 or that I'll be ditching my Collection or Wake Me Up concealer anytime soon but nevertheless it's a nice change and a decent quality product.

Okay so that was my quick review guys, another post is due tomorrow, Happy Monday!

Love
