Teen Blogger Meet-up

Hello my lovelies! So my final GCSE's for this year are done, phew! And now my priority is no longer on revising endless structures of atoms and molecular bonds but on blogging! So for the past few weeks I've been in contact with a lovely blogger called Chloe and we've arranged a Teen Blogger Meet up in the summer. Now this is so exciting for me, my blog has been going for less than a year and I've already spoken to so many lovely people through it and now am helping to arrange this, which should be a fantastic day!

So as you can see all the basic details are here on this fabulous poster that Chloe herself created! This is such an amazing oppurtunity for all teen bloggers regardless of your blog type/style. If you are interested please get in touch with either myself or Chloe (contact details as on the poster) so we have an idea of numbers!

Would love to see some of you there!

Love
Georgie xx

Positivity, School and Exam Stress

Hi guys! Firstly I apologise for not posting very often, recently I've been hit by a barrage of mocks and GCSE's which of course have had to take priority (thumbs down to exams). So at the moment I'm in the awful kind of transition stage at school from a Year 10 to Year 11; being a trial prefect, furiously making coursework deadlines, as well as being surrounded by GCSE and mock exam galore! It's fair to say I've had a little bit of a struggle this week in remaining calm and positive, and it also seems that others around me are too; I've seen at least 5 other people cry and leave a lesson this week, that's just in my own classes! It seems that nobody can really keep up with these unattainable standards of perfection that seem to be expected from us and it's just hit us now, with the pressure being piled on the last few weeks. Now I fully expect year 11 to be the same or even worse, but still I feel that everybody, regardless of their predicament in terms of exams, needs a little cheering up at the moment!

Now I know it's a lot easier said than done but finding something that actually makes you filled with genuine happiness, if only for a while, can be one of the best sources of positivity. For me it was starting dance again this week for the first time in years, after a day with a French reading and listening mock, GCSE Chemistry revision and an hour of Maths revision after school I was in dire need of cheering up! I can't explain how nice it was to be in a room full of like minded people, doing something that I love- I was literally buzzing for hours afterwards especially after being so nervous about joining a class. Of course by the next day I was back to the tiresome slog that is school, but just for that hour dance lesson I was the most positive person going. So that's probably what I would say is so important in remaining positive, even if not all the time, spending time with people that you love or doing something that makes you genuinely happy. The second thing that has really helped me is Alfie Deye's video on being a teenager, literally I've shared this around all my friends after stumbling upon it last month.

Honestly, watch this video and it will make you feel a whole lot better, it does for me every time I watch it, especially after having a week where I heard a lot of things that I really didn't want to. It makes you realise how insignificant so many little things are in comparison with the grand scheme of things. It sums up a lot of the issues and problems we go through, just by being a teenager and has been really beneficial for me and my friends! Okay so that is the end of this post, I hoped you enjoyed reading it, I'd just like to say if any of you ever want to talk to me about anything or are feeling down then feel free to contact me on the links down below,I'm here for you all too! Thanks for reading my lovelies!

Throwback Thursday!

Hello my lovelies, so today I thought I'd join the whole #TBT but do it on my blog instead of on twitter or Instagram. So basically I thought I'd share a few pictures from my time in Germany on the exchange, which was about 3 months ago now. It was definitely one of the best and worst experiences I had, I had an amazing time but it wasn't always brilliant and I've got to admit spending 10 days in a foreign country with a family you don't know is pretty daunting! So here are a few snapshots of the best bits!

 (Holocaust Memorial-Berlin)

 (The Reichstag- Berlin)

( St Mary's Tower Selfie- Osnabrück)

 ( Traditional German Craftsmen -Münster)

(Weird statue- Osnabrück)

(Shopping with the girls- Hanover)

(Brandenburg Gate- Berlin)

(Subway Selfie- Berlin)

(Cathedral- Münster)

(Last picture in Germany-Exchanges and Ice cream)

Okay so sorry that wasn't a really detailed post or anything but I have about 3 post drafted for the next 3 days so keep an eye out for them! Basically ages ago I wrote a post on my time in Germany but felt it wasn't very honest and I couldn't really portray what I wanted to say correctly through a post so decided not to put it up. These are just a few of the 600 pictures I took throughout the exchange, crazy I know! I also apologise for the bad quality, these were literally just taken on my Iphone during our trip. Again sorry that there isn't a full on post about my time in Germany but these pictures definitely capture some of the best moments!

Soap and Glory- KickAss Concealer Review

Hello my lovelies! This is just a quick review on Soap and Glory's Kick Ass Concealer, I've heard quite a bit of hype about this, so in true blogger style, I naturally had to buy it and try it out. I've seen quite a few yotubers use it such as velvetgh0st and thought I'd give it a go. It was £10 but the Soap and Glory section in Boots had a 'buy one get one half price' deal so both me and my mum got one. I think this is quite reasonable but it's probably more the type of thing I'd buy when it was on offer, if I'm completely honest.

Mine is in the shade 'Light' and as you can see there are two different colours, one more pinky toned, the other more yellow toned. I tend to use the first for under eyes and the second on any blemishes. Personally I quite like the consistency, it's quite thick and creamy which I like but does crease a little bit,it's quite a heavy coverage, so I f you don't like heavy product it's probably not for you. I found it covered under eye circles particularly well which is a big bonus for me as I seem to retain the look of being punched in the eye even with the toughest of concealers! It also comes with a translucent powder to seal it and a little powder puff thingy. I'm not a fan of the powder puff as it's too big for areas like under your eyes so I tend to use a little concealer brush instead.

I actually quite like the packaging, this little box and then the circle container itself, which has two layers. Being a bit of a neat freak, I've kept it in the box too, which is nice and neat, Soap and Glory packaging has never really let me down though so I expected it to be quite good. The little mirror is really handy for touch-ups on the go too and is of a really good size for a small container. Overall I quite like this after around 3 weeks of using it, but who knows I might change my mind in a few more weeks! I'm not quite sure if it's worth the £10 or that I'll be ditching my Collection or Wake Me Up concealer anytime soon but nevertheless it's a nice change and a decent quality product.

Okay so that was my quick review guys, another post is due tomorrow, Happy Monday!
